Virtual Walk
What is the 2009 AGS Virtual Walk for a Better Life?
It's just like a walk-a-thon, jog-a-ton, skip-a-thon, or other a-thon that you might participate in, where you assemble or join a team of participants or participate as an individual), gather ledges or donations from friends, family, co-workers and everyone else you know, participate in the event rain or shine like the dedicated do-gooder that you are, and raise money for your favorite charity - BUT you don't have to walk, jog, skip or do anything else EXCEPT use the 2009 AGS Virtual Walk for a Better Life as a terriic excuse to raise money for the Alliance.

When is it?
Gather as many pledges or donations from July 15th through September 30th .

Virtual Walk 2011 was another huge success. Thank you to all of you who helped raise over $23,000 dollars for AGS research. In 2012, we will be working on granting our first ever AGS research grant. We couldn't do it without the funds raised from the Virtual Walk. Thank you again!!

Registration and Prize Information:
You don't have to register unless you are a Team Captain or you are a Walker who wants to be eligible for prizes.
Registration is $20 instead of $25.
Prizes are incentive-based and cumulative. Everyone who registers and raises at least $250 wins at least one prize. A prize is earned for each level reached. Prizes and levels include:
1. Raise $250, Win an Alliance AGS/ALGS Awareness Bookmark
2. Raise $500, Win (1) + Star Team Lapel Pin
3. Raise $1,000, Win (1) + (2) + Alliance Polo Shirt with Embroidered Logo
4. Raise $2,500, Win (1) + (2) + (3) + Star paperweight
5. Raise $5,000 or more, Win (1) + (2) + (3) + (4) + Star Trophy

The purpose of the Virtual Walk is to raise funds to support Alliance programs and publications. It is also a great way to increase awareness of AGS in your community! These funds will be used to publish our Links4Life newsletter, maintain our website, fund educational programs like the AGS Symposium and AGS Family Days, and help build our Julie Kelin Fund for Research and Education.
