World Time Server Help



























How to Calculate Time Zones
with the World Time Server

NOTE: Click on the images for a larger view.


[1].Go to the World Time Server website (WTS) - Click on the link
on the AGS website labeled "World Time Server".

[2].Select the starting time zone - On the left side of the screen,
select UNITED STATES - CALIFORNIA, since the chat session will take
place in pacific standard time.

[3].Check the Starting Time Zone Current Time - On the right side
of WTS, the first box should read UNITED STATES - CALIFORNIA.
See Figure 2 below.

[4].Launch the time calculator - Click on "calculate future event
time in California, United States" (just below the first box on the right).
You should then see the screen in Figure 3.

[5].Enter the Chat Room Session Time - On the Future Event
Meeting Planner screen, step 2 asks "When will the event happen?".
Enter the Chat Room Session time and date (the March 3rd, 2002 chat,
will be at 4:00 p.m.). Your browser should now show Figure 4.

[6].Submit your request - Click on the "Submit Query" button at the
bottom of the step 2 window. Your WTS window should look like Figure 5.

[7].Pick the second location - Go back to the left side of WTS and
select YOUR COUNTRY OR STATE. Figure 6 shows an example
of the second location selection.

[8].Results - On the right side of WTS, you should now see the
results of your calculation. From Figure 7 you can see that a chat
room session time of 4 p.m. in California on Sunday March the 3rd
will be at 11 a.m. on Monday the 4th of March in SE Australia.
Click on "exit future even planner - return to current time" if
you want to perform another time calculation.
